Chairman's Message

It is my great pleasure to introduce you to the Middle East North Africa Real Estate Society (MENARES). This is the first real estate society of its kind in the MENA region focused on fostering discussion & research that transcends national borders, focused on the appreciation of data, statistics and academic research in real estate policy and development, and the first society to rally together MENA's most creative and intellectual minds for the sole purpose of bettering our industry.

MENARES is a member of the International Real Estate Society (IRES), a globally renowned and respected federation of regional real estate societies from around the world which collaborate to share knowledge, experience, research and data. Until today, IRES has represented every section of the globe, except for MENA. Now IRES has warmly welcomed us, the region whose real estate sector has attracted more international attention than any other over the past few years thanks to our striking architectural designs which created buzz in cities around the world, our returns on investment that defied conventional logic and produced headlines in newspapers globally, and our innovative, forward-thinking approach to the industry.

Today, more than ever, we realize the importance of focusing on collaboration, multinational communication and sharing research, the value of investing in knowledge, and the magnitude of how interconnected our markets already are.

Today professors, chief executive officers, investors, and students alike recognize that it is time to take action for positive change. Our board of directors has taken the courageous first step to establish this Society, set forth its mission, vision and values – but now it is your turn.

I encourage you to be involved with MENARES, embrace and shape this as your society serving the needs of your industry, and contribute to the growth and development of real estate in MENA.
